Meet Bobby
Every part that leaves this shop has my name on it.
It started in 1998 in Montreal — importing rare European cars like the Porsche 944 Turbo and the 911 widebody, then reselling them locally. Customers kept asking about something I hadn’t expected: the wheels.
That pulled me into sourcing rare BMW, Audi, and Volkswagen wheels, then polishing, rebuilding, and modifying multi-piece sets — custom bolt patterns, fully built wheels. Powder coating came next, then high-temperature coatings, vapour blasting, and dry ice blasting. Each service grew out of the last.
Today the shop runs the full range of metal finishing and restoration — automotive, industrial, household, even tricky materials like magnesium. Same approach as day one: prep it right, coat it right, don’t cut corners.
HOW IT WORKS
Every job follows the same process. No shortcuts, no variations.
Drop Off or Ship
Your part arrives. We inspect it on intake, note the condition, existing finish, and any damage before we touch anything.
Surface Prep
Strip, blast, degrease, outgas. The prep is where the job is won or lost. We don’t skip it.
Coating Application
Right product, right conditions, right first time. No shortcuts on application. The environment is controlled, the process is consistent.
Cure & Quality Check
Full cure cycle, then a final inspection before the part leaves. If it doesn’t pass, it goes back through. No exceptions.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Everything you need to know before you drop off or ship.
Let us know if you have an event or specific deadline and we'll do our best. Typically, turnaround on smaller jobs is 1–5 business days.
Remove any loose hardware, fasteners, or components you don't want coated. Parts should be clean and free of grease or oil if possible. If you're unsure about prep, just ask and we'll walk you through it.
Absolutely. We accept shipped parts from across Ontario and beyond. Just reach out first so we can coordinate packaging guidelines and ensure safe handling on both ends.
Yes. Many of our clients combine dry ice blasting or vapour blasting with powder coating or ceramic coating for a complete strip-to-finish service. Handling everything in-house saves time, reduces handling, and ensures the surface is properly prepped before any finish goes on.
Yes. We work with automotive shops, fabrication companies, restoration builders, and industrial clients. We can handle recurring production runs with consistent quality control. Reach out to discuss volume pricing or ongoing partnership.
Yes, our dry ice blasting equipment is fully portable. We offer mobile on-site service for equipment that can't be moved, large machinery, and in-place cleaning. Contact us with the details and we'll let you know if on-site service is the right fit.
Send us clear photos of the parts along with details like dimensions, quantity, and the finish you're after. The more information you provide, the faster and more accurate the quote. Use the contact form on this site or email us directly at bobby@rbsd.ca.
